PARENT & COMMUNITY GROUPS SUPPORTING SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES
Most of the identified groups below have both a website and a Facebook page. Individuals are encouraged to look at both sites to see how community groups are organized, their priorities, how they engage volunteers, their messaging, and how they seek donations. In several school districts there are separate advocacy groups and PACs. In most school districts where a group has been organized to prevent extremism from taking over a school district or to restore the integrity of a school district’s governance process, the group has both an advocacy and a campaign mission.
Central Bucks School District Neighbors United for School Board – This is a community group focused on electing school board directors who will uphold the mission of the school district to provide all students the academic and problem-solving skills essential for personal development, responsible citizenship, and lifelong learning. https://www.cbsdneighborsunited.com/
Ridge Network – This is a community group that focuses on the issues impacting students and teachers in the Pennridge School District and is interested in making sure all students have access to a safe and welcoming learning environment, guard against threats to curricula, and encourage respectful engagement by community members. https://www.ridgenetwork.org/
Pennridge Community Alliance – This is a nonpartisan political community group focused on electing school board members that will prioritize student achievement rather than political ideologies. This is a Facebook link for the Alliance. https://www.facebook.com/PennridgeCommunityAlliance/
Citizens for Central York School District – This nonpartisan community group was formed in response to a significant book banning by the Central York School Board and their goal was to get new school board members elected that would restore the district’s reputation. https://www.citizensforcysd.com/
Team UP for Education – This is a nonpartisan community group focused on electing responsible leaders to make evidence-based, informed decisions to support Upper Perkiomen School District students achieve growth and success. https://teamupforeducation.org/
Citizens for Carlisle Schools – A nonpartisan coalition of parents, educators, and taxpayers committed to electing candidates and promoting policies that put students first, respect parents and teachers, and unite the community to provide quality educations for the children living in the Carlisle Area School District. https://www.citizensforcarlisleschools.org/
West Shore Unified – Is a community group formed by parents committed to informing the public about current West Shore District matters, advocating for pro-public education policies, and advocating for school board officials to represent the interests of the community with transparency. https://www.westshoreunified.org/
